After months of preparation, Cushman & Wakefield are delighted to unveil the brand-new home & garden superstore, The Range in The Meadows Centre Portadown on Friday 11th May. This fantastic addition to the retail landscape in Portadown will add significantly to the offer at the Centre, anchored by a Tesco Superstore.
Building work has been taking place for some time to enable the retailer to take over a large portion of the centre, with a huge redevelopment of the site. This the fourth branch of the retailer in Ireland, and will be officially opened by special guest, the Lord Mayor of Portadown, Alderman Gareth Wilson.
The new branch is a welcome boost to the local economy, and comes at a time of expansion for the UK retailer which now operates over 150 stores across the UK and Ireland. Teams have been working around the clock to get the store ready for the big reveal.
The new store will provide a wide variety of products across 16 departments, including DIY, Homewares, Arts & Crafts and Soft Furnishings; all at great prices. The Portadown branch will also have a family café serving a wide selection of food and drink at affordable prices and an outdoor garden centre.
Acting on behalf of the landlord, Cushman & Wakefield secured the letting of the 58,000 sqft unit prior to Christmas. The opening will revitalise the centre, and complements the Tesco Superstore anchor unit and McDonalds Drive Thru, along with the existing mall retailers, including TUI, O2, Marie Curie and Ecig Kiosks.
Riverside Beauty & Wellbeing are also well advanced in their fit out in Unit 1, and will soon be opening their salon which incorporates a state of the art flotation tank to complement their reflexology and aromatherapy services, in addition to the full range of beauty treatments.
