The Northern Ireland Open will return to Galgorm Castle Golf Club in Ballymena on 28th-31st August and DTZ McCombe Pierce are delighted to be one of the official sponsors of this international golf event.
Enterprise, Trade and Investment Minster, Arlene Foster announced the news of the event’s return to Galgorm Castle at a press conference in Ballymena recently.
“The return of this high profile tournament is yet another indicator that Northern Ireland’s reputation as a major golf destination is thriving,” said Foster. “Together with the Irish Open in 2015 and 2017, this tournament will further cement our position as a ‘must play” destination for golfers.
“Last year’s inaugural NI Open at Galgorm broke all European Challenge Tour attendance records, attracting over 22,000 spectators and I have no doubt that this year’s event will once again attract big crowds. The visitors that will pack the Galgorm fairways in August will see the golfing stars on the future and will enjoy a superbly well-run tournament in beautiful surroundings.”
DTZ McCombe Pierce Director, Colin McDowell is delighted to be involved in the sponsorship line-up for the event that boasts a media value of £3.5 million.
