Cushman and Wakefield, acting on behalf of M&G, have let part of the former BHS store in Belfast city centre to Irish Department Store Guineys on Castle Place representing their 12th outlet and their first in Northern Ireland. Guineys sell a wide range of discounted clothing and homeware and have made a six figure investment in the new store.
This major investment coincides with Primark re opened this week on Castle Street some three months after the August fire that destroyed the Listed Bank Buildings HQ. Shoppers queued from early morning to welcome the return of the retailer and it is projected that 50,000 shoppers will visit the store in the first week of opening.
Primark intend opening a further store on Donegall Place in Spring 2019.
